Our Year 5 / Year 6 class taught by Miss K. Todd, with support from Mrs C. Levitt and Mrs T. Fisher.
We follow the 2014 National Curriculum for KS2 and plan lessons and learning objectives to ensure that all students meet these requirements. We record progress using the Pupil Asset online system based on pupils understanding of each of the curriculum objectives.
The timetable has been developed such that there is a focus on reading, writing and maths before lunchtime with other subjects being used to develop a wider understanding of the application of these core skills. Year 6 work towards their SATs in the Spring and Summer terms and the class is often taught using group work to accommodate this.
