Enrichment

At Bunwell Primary School, we are proud of all our children and encourage them to reach their full potential. We want our children to have access to experiences that enrich their lives, broaden their horizons and inspire them to try new things. Our C.A.R.E values underpin all we do so our children are Confident, Able to meet future challenges, Responsible members of the community and Effective Learners.

At Bunwell Primary School, our enrichment activities include a range of sporting events such as our annual Trust Cross Country competition, netball, and tag rugby events as well as cricket and Norwich City Football Club community activities.
Children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 take part in weekly Forest School sessions on our Forest School field. These sessions involve tree climbing, den building, playing in the mud kitchen, using tools, hunting for insects and sometimes a camp fire.
Our Year 5 and 6 children have the opportunity to take part in a residential trip. Our latest one was to Kingswood in West Runton on the north Norfolk coast. The children enjoyed a day on the beach followed by two days crammed full of activities.
We use some of our Sports Premium funding to take the children on trips to experience adventurous activities such as canoeing at Whitlingham, go karting at Eaton Vale, caving at Thorpe Woodlands and exploring Thetford Forest.
