Hedgehogs
Our Year 1 / Year 2 class taught by Mr. A. Baxter, with support from Mrs Weller and Mrs Charlton.
We follow the 2014 National Curriculum for KS1 and plan lessons and learning objectives to ensure that all students meet these requirements. We record attainment and progress using the Pupil Asset online system based on pupils understanding of each of the curriculum objectives.
The timetable has been developed such that there is a focus on English (including Phonics) and maths before lunchtime with other subjects being used to develop a wider understanding of the application of these core skills. In September 2022, we adopted the Monster Phonics scheme for teaching phonics.
